Healthcare recruitment agency Medforce has been announced as the title sponsor for the Private Healthcare Awards 2025 programme, which will culminate with an awards ceremony on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, Co Dublin.
Medforce has stepped up from its sponsorship role in the inaugural 2024 awards to assume the prestigious title sponsorship position.
Part of Lincoln Group based in Ireland, Medforce is a healthcare recruitment agency specialising in end-to-end service provision of permanent, contract and temporary healthcare staffing solutions from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The recruiter matches a pool of highly qualified, dedicated healthcare professionals with healthcare institutions, clinics and facilities.
“Medforce is proud to continue our support of the Private Healthcare Awards 2025 as title sponsor,” said Medforce managing director Lana Kane. “These awards recognise the vital role of the private healthcare sector, whose ongoing commitment, compassion and clinical excellence ensure high standards of care nationwide. We believe that quality care is built on quality people.”
The Private Healthcare Awards celebrate excellence in the healthcare profession in Ireland and recognise the managers, teams and organisations demonstrating the strongest commitment to health and safety, compliance to standards, training, and technical and behavioural improvements.
Covering 27 categories, the awards offer healthcare professionals an opportunity to have their work meticulously reviewed by an expert judging panel, garner recognition from peers, benchmark against competitors and attract top talent and clients to their organisations. In 2024 the winner of the overall excellence award was Mater Private Network.
Kane emphasised Medforce’s role in the sector. “We pride ourselves on playing a pivotal role in enhancing the healthcare industry, ensuring seamless staffing solutions that improve patient care and elevate the standards of healthcare delivery,” she said. “Our mission is to elevate healthcare standards by pairing skilled professionals with leading-edge healthcare organisations.”
The awards programme comes at a time of robust growth for Ireland’s private healthcare sector. According to the Health Insurance Authority, 47 per cent of the population – amounting to 2.5 million people – have health insurance. Nineteen of Ireland’s 88 hospitals are private, and the private sector also accounts for a sizeable number of clinics, GPs and consultants.
Growth is being driven by the rapidly ageing and growing population, increases in chronic diseases, pressures on the public system, and investment activity.
A 2024 sector review by KPMG recommended that private and public healthcare providers should urgently adopt measures to optimise human resources, embrace innovation and technology, and accelerate the shift of healthcare out of hospital and into the community.
Kevin O’Driscoll, director of partner programmes at Business River, the organiser of the awards, said: “The Private Healthcare Awards celebrate the brightest and the best. Having an organisation of the calibre of Medforce supporting us is an extremely important validation of the event.
“Together with Medforce and all our sponsors and partners we now look forward to the eagerly anticipated gala awards night in October.”
The deadline for submissions for the Private Healthcare Awards is July 4th, 2025. Entries can be made online at privatehealthcareawards.ie
