Former Limerick star Pat Heffernan has just been announced as new senior Kerry manager and this should see him off to a winning start.

Meath v Longford, Navan, 2.0
With 12 senior debuts Meath just about got past UCD midweek, and will need to show a bit more of their usual standards to get past Longford, who enjoyed a fine win over Kildare last Sunday.
Wexford v Carlow, Enniscorthy, 2.0
A little extra edge than usual here as Wexford, fresh from a good win over Laois and now managed by 31-year-old Jason Ryan, take on Carlow, who are managed by Ryan's predecessor in Wexford, Paul Bealin.
Offaly v DCU, Tullamore, 2.0
The hope here is that DCU can be a lot more competitive than Athlone IT, who were last week beaten by Offaly 5-24 to 0-9, and having beaten Louth midweek, the Dublin students should at least make a game of it.
Walsh Cup SH preliminary round Westmeath v UCD, Mullingar, 2.0
Never much between these two teams, but Westmeath should make progress.

St Mary's v Armagh, Lurgan, 2.0
Not a good start to Peter McDonnell's reign as Armagh manager as he's already lost to both Fermanagh and Derry, but this clash should give him his first win.
Derry v Fermanagh, Maghera, 2.0
Both sides go into this game with unbeaten records and this third-round game could well decide who makes the play-offs. Derry looked good against both Armagh and St Mary's and are more likely to win it.
Dr McKenna Cup - Section B
UUJ v Down, Newcastle, 2.0
Down were beaten by Tyrone midweek and are still plagued with inconsistency, and won't have it easy against the students, who themselves have beaten Tyrone this year.
Donegal v Tyrone, Ballyshannon, 2.0
As well as the most enticing game of the afternoon, this also marks the long-awaited return of Tyrone's Brian McGuigan, named on the bench, who hasn't played for his county since the 2005 All-Ireland win because of a broken leg followed by a career-threatening eye.
Dr McKenna Cup SF - Section C Monaghan v Antrim, Ballybay, 2.0 Monaghan manager Séamus McEnaney clearly wasn't pleased with last week's defeat to Cavan, and, as a result, has recalled some of his more regular players, which should bring about a home victory.

Clare v Limerick IT, Meelick, 2.0
So Cork didn't make this competition after all, and instead it's former Clare trainer Mike McNamara, now the county manager, against Davy Fitzgerald, the manager of Limerick IT who is due to return to the Clare panel. Despite the spread of young blood Clare should win.
Tipperary v UCC, Nenagh, 2.0
A first competitive outing for new Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy, though it's far from an experimental team, with Brendan Cummins restored to goalkeeping duties and Eoin Kelly making an early season start up front.

Clare v UL, Cooraclare, 2.0
Clare have already beaten UCC in the preliminary round, and new manager Frank Doherty should continue in that vein.
Tipperary v Cork IT, Ardfinnan, 2.0Another first day out for Tipperary's new manager John Evans, and the Kerry native can look forward to taking a first win with his new charges.

Mickey Ned O'Sullivan is still in a rebuilding phase with Limerick and is keen for the win here.

Mayo were stunned by NUI Galway last weekend and manager John O'Mahony won't want a repeat of that.
