Willie Bruton will play his last game for Waterford United this evening when UCD travel to the southeast looking to bounce back from last week's hefty defeat by league leaders Cork City.

The striker asked the club to release him from his contract earlier this week and with money desperately tight around the RSC the club has reluctantly agreed even though it leaves Giles Cheevers desperately short of options in attack.

Efforts to sign a replacement striker have so far failed and with Vinny Sullivan injured for tonight's game (kick-off 6.0) the home side are likely to look to Seán Finn to pull something out of the hat against his former club.

Pete Mahon will stick with "much the same team" that lost to Cork and the only injury of note within the Dublin club's squad is Damien Dupuy's fractured toe.

"It's been a good week for us," says Mahon. "Reaching the semi-finals of the League Cup was great and having Tony McDonnell named as the player of the month was wonderful but we'd like to have a few more points in the league and we know this will be tough for us, particularly coming so soon after the win in the League Cup.

Children attending this evening's game with paying adults will be admitted free.
