UCD will be hoping Longford Town have one eye on next weekend's FAI Cup final when they go to Flancare Park this evening with the students bottom of the Premier Division table but within three points of Derry City who are directly above them.

Pete Mahon's side haven't managed a goal in their last three games but having suffered just one defeat they have continued to make progress and a win this evening would add to the pressure on their relegation rivals.

Longford are without winger Seán Prunty who has flu while Alan Kirby is rated doubtful, but Alan Matthews is boosted by the return of Darragh Sheridan.

The visitors, meanwhile, are without Alan Gallen while Darragh Ryan faces a late fitness test.

The National League, meanwhile, has decided against docking Kildare County points after the club fielded Ray Kenny against Finn Harps earlier this month while the player was supposed to be serving a suspension. The decision is likely to anger Kildare's rivals for a place in the First Division play-off and at least two clubs were reported yesterday to be considering some sort of appeal.
