Trojan Bridge should be popular winner for Ennis

Middleham trainer Mark Johnston was busy buying at the Goffs Sales during the week but he will be hoping that the cash changes hands the other way today when he saddles Three Green Leaves for the £30,000 Goffs Autumn Bonus at Cork.

This one has been trained with this race in mind for some time and with three wins behind her already, Three Green Leaves is sure to attract market attention.

The last of those three was at Newcastle when making all the running to win easily and there were two wins at Beverley before that. However the result of that is a not particularly inspiring rating and maybe Trojan Bridge will be a value alternative.

It would certainly be a popular success for Frank Ennis, one of the lesser profile trainers but a well known face on the tracks due to his work as a starting stall attendant. Trojan Bridge was a good winner of a maiden at Gowran and her half-length defeat of Pink Coral now looks even better judged by Pink Coral's prominent show in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp last weekend.

The nine-furlong maiden sees a clash between two O'Brien trained Sadlers Wells colts in Fetival Hall and Trebizond. The latter is trained by Charles O'Brien and ran an eyecatching race to be third to Strategic and the Group winner St Clair Ridge on his debut at Leopardstown.

However Festival Hall looked to do even better on his start when third to Mus-If and Coliseum in the National Stakes and with Michael Kinane on board is the selection.

Anabatic should have little trouble picking up the amateur riders' chase if running anywhere near his best.

Joe Canty's Euphoric usually starts to come to his best at this time of the year and ran well enough at Listowel last time to suggest he can score in the Mallow Handicap.
