Ireland international Darren O'Dea has signed a one-month deal with Blackpool.
The Dubliner was a free agent, having left Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk in August, and has been training with the Championship club in recent weeks.
"I had a tough year in Ukraine, so I'm delighted to be at a good football club with good people, and I'm looking forward to getting started," said O'Dea today. "I was desperate to play football again and I'm looking to now help the team."
Blackpool are currently bottom of the Championship, eight points adrift of Wigan Athletic, with nine points from 19 games.
The 27-year-old has previously played in the Championship with Reading, Ipswich and Leeds, and also in the Scottish Premier League with Celtic.
O’Dea’s deal is subject to international and Football League clearance and runs until January 4th, 2015. Blackpool, who have conceded 31 goals this season, are due to play five league games in that time.
