Republic of Ireland Under-21 manager Noel King today called Derry City's Barry McNamee into his squad to face Denmark in a friendly on May 31st.

The Candystripes midfielder is the only domestic based player in the 16-man squad, having scored four in 12 appearances for the Brandywell side this season.

An additional five players from the Airtricity League, as well as Hansa Rostock II midfielder Selcuk Tidim, have been included in a training squad ahead of the game at the Frederica Stadium. Sean McGinty, recently left go my Manchester United, has also been included.

"This is our last preparation game before our first EURO 2015 Qualifier against the Faroe Islands in August," said King today, "so it's obviously our final chance to see players before then. Some players are missing through injury, suspensions etc, but this could be the case in August also, so we'll prepare with that in mind."
