Johnny Sexton has confirmed he will be available for Ireland's second match of the Six Nations Championship against France.
Having seen his doctors in Paris, Sexton has been cleared to plan for the meeting with Les Bleus at the Aviva Stadium on February 14th (5pm).
“It’s a relief after 12 weeks out,” he was quoted as saying by Racing Metro’s official Twitter account. “I’ve been given the green light by the doctors and can push for a place against France.”
Sexton, who will return to play with Leinster next season, has not played since he sustained a blow to his head during Ireland's 26-23 victory over Australia on November 22nd. His place for Ireland's first match against Italy has been taken by Munster's Ian Keatley, with Leinster's Ian Madigan on the bench.
