Derval O'Rourke now looks certain to get her hands on another major championship medal after the disciplinary board of the Turkish Athletics Federation (TAF) has suspended Nevin Yanit for two years due to doping violations.

Yanit won the gold medal at the 60 metres hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg in March, with O’Rourke finishing a close fourth – but with Nevin’s test traced back to a positive sample in February, that gold medal will be now be rescinded, with O’Rourke automatically promoted to the bronze medal.
