The first Peter O'Malley international invitational baseball tournament took place at Corkagh Demesne Park in Clondalkin, west Dublin, over the weekend.
The Republic of Ireland national team defeated Los Barbaros All Stars 13-7 (international players) to clinch the Peter O'Malley International Invitational Tournament at Corkagh Park, on the third day of the tournament.
In an earlier game the Rota Blue Devils (US navy team) came out on top in extra innings against the UK’s Liverpool Trojans (7-4).

The tournament is named for O'Malley, president of the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1970-1998, in recognition of his contribution to promoting the sport in Ireland, including youth development.
It was among other events taking place as part of the The Gathering at the weekend.
