A week after they sealed their third Leinster Division One title in a row, UCD will attempt to add more silverware to their season's collection, but if they're going to reach Sunday's Irish Senior Cup final they first have to get past the team that beat them in last year's decider, Railway Union.

Zara Delany’s second half goal, after the opening period had ended 2-2, gave Railway the first ISC success in their history, dethroning UCD who had won it the year before. The students, though, will go in to tomorrow’s semi-final as favourites, a week after beating Railway 3-1 in the league.

That defeat ended Railway’s interest in the title race, but their morale will have been lifted by their 4-3 win over Hermes the following day, form they will need to reproduce tomorrow if they are to progress.

Pembroke Wanderers, meanwhile, will be aiming for their first final since 2007 when they take on Lurgan tomorrow, a side having its most successful ever run in the competition.

Pembroke produced the surprise of the quarter-finals, eliminating Loreto on penalty strokes, while Lurgan have so far only met Ulster opposition, beating Elks and Armagh on the way to the last four.
