Aidan O'Brien revealed yesterday that he is leaning towards the Breeders Cup Sprint instead of the Mile for the brilliant Stravinsky's next race.

After landing the July Cup and the Nunthorpe, the Sprint was immediately nominated as Stravinsky's ultimate target.

But last week a possible switch to the Mile on turf was mooted despite Stravinsky having failed in his three career starts to date at seven furlongs. A Grade One success at a mile would further boost the Nureyev colt's stud value.

O'Brien said yesterday however: "Stravinsky is very well in himself and at this stage I would say myself that the Sprint is favoured."

The Ballydoyle trainer didn't rule out being represented in both juvenile races run on dirt at the Breeders Cup at Gulfsteam Park on November 6th.

O'Brien reported Warrior Queen to be among the entries for the Juvenile filles' race and she remains a possible for that while he mentioned three horses that remain possibles for taking on the might of the American juveniles in the colts race over a mile.

"Mull Of Kintyre, Thady Quill and Bach are all still on the go and if we are to have a runner in that race I would imagine it would be one of them," O'Brien said.

He added that he is likely to know today if Fasliyev will definitely run in Saturday's Dewhurst at Newmarket for which O'Brien has eight of the 12 remaining entries.
