CYCLING:With just today's final stage of the Tour of Beijing left to be settled, Dan Martin looks set to take the mountains prize in the World Tour event, as well as a high overall finish. The Garmin-Sharp rider rolled in as part of the main bunch on yesterday's 165.5km race to Chang Ping Stadium, finishing in the same time as the sprint winner Marco Haller (Katusha Team).

In doing so, he preserved his third place in the general classification. He remains 50 seconds behind world time trial champion Tony Martin (Omega Pharma Quick Step), who seems set to defend the race win he took last year, and is 10 seconds behind second-placed rider Francesco Gavazzi (Astana Pro Team).
