Michael O'Brien's main attraction may be Knife Edge at Leopardstown but it would be unwise to ignore the winning claims of his stable companion Kadoun at Limerick. Kadoun may be only four but he is conceding little in terms of experience to the novices Native Jack and Columba in the Meteor Hurdle.

Grappling, albeit unsuccessfully, with the likes of Limestone Lad is nothing new for Kadoun and he brings an official rating to the race that the others will do well to cope with. The Thurles specialist Native Jack tipped up last time out while Columba gave Canary Wharf a beating at Fairyhouse. Hill Port is another tough four-year-old but Kadoun looks the one to be on.

Michael Hourigan didn't have much local luck with the hotpot Beef Or Salmon yesterday but could get some of the losses back with Discerning Air in the mares beginners chase. Nipitinthebud ran behind Henry Hammond at Navan last time out but should be among the leading contenders for the rated hurdle.

Timbera's run behind Royal Jake at Fairyhouse puts the Dessie Hughes runner in with a big shout for the handicap chase and Philip Fenton looks good to win on Redeem Himself.
