Schools' Hockey: Alexandra College and St Andrews are on course for a repeat of last year's Leinster Senior Cup final after the schools were kept apart in yesterday's semi-final draw.

Alexandra will play Mount Anville and Andrews will meet Loreto Beaufort at Grange Road on Thursday week (February 21st) with the final, which will be televised by Setanta, scheduled for Friday, February 29th, at the same venue.

Cup holders Alexandra, who are seeking their third success in the competition in four years, proved too strong for Loreto Bray, winning their quarter-final 3-0, while Andrews, cup winners in 2003, 2004 and 2006, got the better of High School (2-0).

Meanwhile, Beaufort avenged their defeat by Muckross Park in the league final with a 3-1 victory, Mount Anville completing the semi-final line-up after beating Wesley College 1-0.

The Leinster, Munster, Connacht and South East cup winners will go through to the All-Ireland Schools' Championships in March, also at Grange Road, but as the winning province last year Ulster will have two representatives in this season's finals, with reigning champions Royal School, Armagh, already assured of their place having reached the Ulster final.

Loreto Wexford and Loreto Kilkenny are through to the South East cup final, with Taylor's Hill and Jesuits contesting the Connacht decider. Ashton or Mount Mercy, All-Ireland champions in 2006, will play Laurel Hill in the Munster final.
