Tickets remain on sale for this weekend's All-Ireland hurling quarter-finals at the newly developed Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The GAA say that an attendance of 30,000 is expected at the Cork venue for Saturday's meeting of Clare and Tipperary, and a crowd in excess of 30,000 is likely on Sunday for the meeting Waterford and Wexford.

Stand tickets for both fixtures are all sold out (bar a limited number of premium tickets) but terrace tickets remain on sale.

Tickets can be purchased from Centra, SuperValu and gaa.ie (print at home and etickets which can be read on smart phones) right up to throw-in and supporters are strongly encouraged to acquire tickets in advance of match day.

The GAA are also advising fans to avoid driving to Páirc Uí Chaoimh on either day “as cars will not be permitted at the stadium or in its environs.

“Patrons are advised to use city centre car parks and walk or use public transport (route 202) from Merchant’s Quay to Mahon Point).

“Regarding Sunday’s game specifically, as supporters from both countries are travelling from a similar direction it would assist the flow of traffic if motorists travelling from the Northern parts of Waterford/Wexford would use the M8 (Cork -Dublin Road).

“Traffic on the N25 (Cork -Waterford) will be heavy and delays can be expected. Match Traffic should then travel via the Jack Lynch Tunnel and take Junction 10 (Mahon) exit.”
