AIB All-Ireland club finalists Kilcormac-Killoughey will be without key forward Daniel Currams for next Sunday's final against St Thomas's.
Full-forward Currams scored 1-1 when the Offaly and Leinster champions shocked a star-studded Thurles Sarsfields in the semi-final last month, but he sustained a suspected broken arm playing in a warm-up match against Kilkenny's U21s in Johnstown yesterday.
The news comes as a huge setback to Kilcormac-Killoughey boss Danny Owens, as he prepares for the St Patrick's Day final against the Galway kingpins.
Former dual player Currams also netted in the Leinster final victory over Oulart-the-Ballagh before Christmas and had committed exclusively to the Offaly senior hurlers for the 2013 intercounty season.
