Cork IT spoiled Mary Immaculate College's McGrath Cup debut with a resounding win on their own grounds yesterday.
First-half goals from Donal Óg Hodnett, Shane McCarthy and Peter Daly helped them lead by 3-8 to 1-3 at the interval, having played against the strong wind, and they added further goals from Darragh Treacy and Thomas Hegarty on the resumption.
Dan MacEoin scored both Mary I's goals in either half. Referee Rory Hickey didn't show any black cards.
