Armagh 1-10 Fermanagh 1-10

A blistering second-half Fermanagh performance during which they displayed a voracious work-rate and boundless courage ultimately garnered what could prove to be an invaluable point in this tingling Division Three encounter at the Athletic Grounds, Armagh.

The home team bossed the first quarter and a Micheal McKenna goal in the 23rd minute cemented their dominance to such an extent that they enjoyed a 1-6 to 0-1 lead.

But in a ten-minute purple patch that preceded the interval the Corrigan brothers Ruairi and Tomas combined to throw Fermanagh a lifeline, the former drilling home a spectacular goal and the latter flighting over a fine point that saw Armagh’s advantage at half-way trimmed to 1- 7 to 1-3.

They were to land just three more scores as Fermanagh, with Ryan McCluskey and Barry Mulrone impressive at the back and Sean Quigley the essence of accuracy up front, unleashed a stunning ration of character and self-belief.

A brace of Quigley points reined Armagh in yet again and in a grandstand finish Ryan Jones proved Fermanagh's hero when he swept home the injury-time equaliser that saw his side keep pace with their hosts in a concerted drive for promotion.
