Crossmaglen joint-manager Oisin McConville has denied allegations one of his players bit a member of the opposition during his side’s 2-15 to 0-13 win over Cargin on Sunday.

The Armagh team's first win in the Ulster club championship in three years was overshadowed by Cargin manager John Brennan claiming a 36th minute brawl involving aorund a dozen players was sparked after midfielder Michael McCann was bitten.

Brennan refused to name the player involved in the incident, but after speaking to his squad McConville has told RTE he is satisfied none of his players were responsible for biting MCann.

He said: “All we can really do is ask. These sort of incidents are very hard to prove and are very hard to see. We’re happy that such an incident did not happen.
