Maurice Fitzgerald has been dropped from the Kerry team for Saturday's keenly awaited All-Ireland quarter-final with Dublin.

The team named by manager Pβid∅ ╙ SΘ last night has Fitzgerald returning to his substitute role for the first time this season.

After getting three successive championship starts against Tipperary, Limerick and Cork, Fitzgerald had failed to make a consistent impression on Kerry's progression and there was wide speculation over the last week that he wouldn't make the starting line-up.

Like last season, however, he is expected to play some role as a substitute. The man to come in is Eoin Brosnan, who replaced Fitzgerald early in the second half win of the Munster final win over Cork. Dara ╙ CinnΘide moves to full forward.
