DUNDALK have signed the Republic of Ireland under-21 international and former Bohemians striker, Brendan Markey, on loan from English second division club Millwall.
Markey has recently recovered from a hernia operation and the Millwall manager, Jimmy Nicholl, a friend of his Dundalk counterpart John Hewitt, sees this move as the best way for Markey to regain match fitness.
Markey's first training session with Dundalk tomorrow will be overseen by Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy, who signed the 20-year-old striker from Bohemians a year ago for £40,000. Markey will be included in the Dundalk squad for Friday's Premier Division match with St Patrick's at Richmond Park.
