St Patrick's Athletic manager Liam Buckley has made it clear that he intends to bring new blood into the club over the coming weeks in an attempt to strengthen their campaign to defend the league title.

Buckley says he has his eye on a couple of players who would increase the competition for places at the club and he expects to make a move for them over the coming week or so.

Buckley also said yesterday that he has accepted transfer request from versatile defender Keith Long and striker Warren Parkes.
