Sir, – How refreshing to read Quentin Fottrell's highly entertaining article ("How to dress well in your 40s and 50s", Features, March 21st), where he encourages us all to have the confidence to be our sartorial selves, irrespective of age. That he mentions thrift shopping excursions is an added bonus in the article. Oh, that shopping for pre-owned clothing could become so mainstream! I live in hope. – Yours, etc,
