Sir, – There is a a misconception that our neutral status acts as a “golden defence dome”, which is total nonsense. Our territorial waters and skies are continuously subject to visits from one particular world power.
Therefore, as our new government settles in, it is imperative that our new minister for defence is a full cabinet post. Every arm of our Defence Forces requires more personnel, the latest equipment, and more training. – Yours, etc,
