The Irish Times - Letters to the Editor.

Sir, – There was more than a little of “meanwhile, back in this real world” about the lead story in yesterday’s Irish Times (“Stark risks to economy detailed at Cabinet”, News, November 21st). This must have come as a dampener to those of your readers who have been attending to the various party manifestos, including those of the current governing parties.

These suggest that the biggest problem confronting the next government will be finding enough projects on which to spend the tens of billions of euro which their careful economic stewardship will magic up. – Yours, etc,

PAT O’BRIEN,

Dublin 6.
