A chara, – Conor Hogarty (Letters, November 15th) tells us that non-involvement in Nato’s Partnership for Peace or in EU military co-operation would only benefit “potential enemies and states with nefarious intent towards Ireland”.
The only state with a track record in this regard is Britain (which still occupies part of our country). And the only state which has abused our airspace and landing facilities has been the United States, transporting war equipment, especially to Israel.
