Two French music festivals have cancelled Eagles of Death Metal concerts this summer in reaction to comments by the band's frontman over the Paris attacks.

The Rock en Seine concert in the capital and the Cabaret Vert festival in Ardennes, northern France, said in a statement they are "in total disagreement with Jesse Hughes's recent allegations".

Hughes told the Taki's Magazine website last week that he saw some "terrorists" in the Bataclan concert hall before the November 13th show and saw "Muslims celebrating in the street during the attack".

The band’s performance turned into a bloodbath when suicide bombers stormed in as part of near-simultaneous attacks in Paris.
