Detectives from the Ballyfermot Drugs Unit, assisted by local gardaí, seized cocaine with a street value of approximately €450,000 along with a small number of cannabis plants during a search in the south of the city.

Gardaí searched a house in Palmerstown Woods yesterday afternoon as part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Ballyfermot area.

A 27-year- old man was arrested at the scene and a 22-year-old woman was arrested a short time later as part of the investigation.
