Dublin-based company SmartForce today confirmed it will provide the e-learning infrastructure for Florida's largest healthcare company, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF).

The agreement will see the BCBSF deploy SmartForce's customised infrastructure for more than 1,000 employees. The deal will run for a number of years.

SmartForce’s technology will assist BCBSF to prepare employees of the entire organization for new enhancements to its ‘Virtual Office’ technology which supports over 7,000 doctors’ offices in their online, real-time claims processing, the company said.

SmartForce ceo Mr Greg Priest said: "As the first health plan in the country to offer online, real-time claims processing, BCBSF is an example of an e-business that is making a difference in the industry".
