Fine Gael: family path or psychopaths?

THE TAOISEACH is back in Dublin tomorrow for a big referendum rally in the Mansion House

THE TAOISEACH is back in Dublin tomorrow for a big referendum rally in the Mansion House. Dozens of young Fine Gaelers will be on parade for the occasion and hundreds of supporters from Dublin and surrounding counties are expected to join him in calling for a Yes vote.

Besides the speeches – Simon Coveney and Lucinda Creighton will also address the crowd – there will be “family friendly activities” in an effort to mollify all those miffed tots forced to attend a political rally with their parents when the sun is shining outside. Face painting and balloons, we hear.

While it’ll be a very definite Yes to the treaty on Dawson Street, things will be much different up the road in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, where a roadshow called “Financial terrorism exposed” is taking place.

The star attraction is controversial broadcaster Max Keiser and his co-host Stacy Herbert. They are addressing the topic, “For goodness sake . . . stop your country being stolen from you.” Also down to speak is Anthony Coughlan of the National Platform.

The most intriguing lecture listed on the schedule is from a Thomas Sheridan, entitled “Psychopaths on the loose . . . and in the Dáil Éireann.” The show starts at noon and goes on into the evening. Tickets €45.
