The mother of the baby boy who was found abandoned on a Dublin street last weekend has come forward, gardaí said today.
The newborn boy was found on Saturday afternoon wrapped in tinfoil and a blanket in a sportsbag that had been left beside a bus stop on Clanbrassil Street.
He was brought to the Coombe Hospital where he was said to be in good health.
The mother contacted gardaí today and was reunited with her child at the hospital this morning.

Gardaí said the matter is being dealt with by the Health Board and have refused to release any further details.
