Lord's Passion with Palestrina choir for Pro-Cathedral in Dublin today

A solemn celebration of the Lord's Passion will take place at 3 p.m. in Dublin's Pro-Cathedral today

A solemn celebration of the Lord's Passion will take place at 3 p.m. in Dublin's Pro-Cathedral today. The principal celebrant will be Bishop Raymond Field, with music by the Palestrina Choir.

At noon, there will be Stations of the Cross in mime and music, while at 9 p.m. there will be Prayer Around the Cross with music from the St Kevin's Milltown Institute and UCD chapel choir.

The Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin, Dr Walton Empey, leads a three-hour devotion at St Ann's Church in Dawson Street beginning at noon today.

There will be morning prayer and litany at Christ Church at 11 a.m. today and choral evensong with Proclamation of the Cross at 3.30 p.m.

A service for Good Friday will take place at Malahide Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m.

A Good Friday justice and peace liturgy, organised by AFrI and Pax Christi, takes place at 1 p.m. today outside the Department of Foreign Affairs, St Stephen's Green. It will then proceed to the Dail to protest at the State's proposed joining of NATO's Partnership for Peace.

Tomorrow the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dublin, Dr Desmond Connell, will be principal celebrant at the Pro-Cathedral's Easter vigil, which begins at 9.30 p.m. The Easter Vigil and Eucharist of the Resurrection begins in Christ Church at 9 p.m.

On Easter Sunday, Dr Connell will be principal celebrant at the 11 a.m. Mass.

Dr Empey will be the preacher at the festival sung eucharist in Christ Church which begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated at Malahide Presbyterian Church, at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The Easter Sunday morning service in Howth Presbyterian Church begins at 11.30 a.m.
