Teenager airlifted from water in Youghal by Irish Coast Guard

A teenager had to be airlifted from water in Youghal, Co Cork on Sunday afternoon.

The boy, believed to be 14, was lifted from the water by Waterford Rescue Helicopter 117 just after 2pm.

The helicopter landed at Bishopstown GAA club and the Irish Coast Guard said it understands the boy was taken to Cork University Hospital.

The current condition of the teenager is unknown.
