Some of the world’s best known tattoo artists jetted into Ireland for the opening of Love Hate Social Club which opened its doors for the first time in Cork at the weekend.

The new studio is co-owned by well-known tattoo artist Ami James of Miami Ink and Irish tattoo legend Ross Nagle of Allstar Ink.

James, who rose to fame through the hit reality television show Miami Ink, was joined in the Rebel county by his co-stars Tommy Montoya, Darren Brass, Luke Wessman, Lee Rodriguez and Damion Ross.

Nagle said he was confident that the tattoo studio on French Church Street in Cork would be one of the top studios in Ireland.

“It’s been a lot of hard work to get some of the world’s best [tattoo artists] together, but we are sure that we have perfected it with our award-winning tattooers and state of the art shop.”

James, who already runs Love Hate studios in Miami and Notting Hill in London, worked briefly with Nagle in Miami where they hit it off and became friends.

The state of the art shop will play host to some of the top artists in the world including James and Nagle who will both be working in the studio, as will Damion Ross from the NY Ink shop.

Ross is moving from New York to work in the new shop alongside Seán Martin and Paul O’Rourke.

Joe Myler from Waterford, along with Paul Aherne from Dublin, will both be weekly guests in the studio.
