Man (21) killed in Co Galway crash is named

Co Limerick student Adam Galvin died in a single-car incident on Sunday

A young man who died in a car crash in Co Galway over the weekend has been named as Adam Galvin.

Mr Galvin (21), from Kildimo, Co Limerick, died shortly after 2.30am on Sunday in a single-vehicle incident on the N59 in the townland of Corcullen, Moycullen.

Mr Galvin, the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was a student of Pharmaceutical and Forensic Science at Limerick Institute of Technology.

Previously Mr Galvin attended Salesian College secondary school in Pallaskenry, according to the Limerick Leader.

His funeral will take place on Wednesday morning.

Kildimo parish priest Fr John Donworth said Mr Galvin came from a well-respected family.

“He was in his final year of college and had a very promising future ahead of him.”
