An Irish woman in her 60s who drowned on holiday in Vietnam has been named.
Stephanie Hartnett, a Limerick native, was with friends at a beach resort last Saturday and was in the shallows when she was swept out by a wave.
Onlookers made attempts to save her, but she was pronounced dead by a medic shortly after being brought to shore.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is helping Ms Hartnett’s family to repatriate her body, with the Irish mission in Hanoi offering support services.
