The four were charged at Cork District Court with various offences including the possession of a synthetic ecstasy type drug .

David Maguire (31) of Harley Woods, Togher, Cork is charged with one count of possessing MDMA and PMMA for sale or supply at Lapp's Quay, Cork on September 7th 2012.

Victoria McCormack (22) of Cornmill Apartments, Connell Street, Cork is charged with two counts of possessing MDMA and PMMA for sale or supply on September 7th and 10th 2012.

John O’Dwyer (26) of Roman Street, Cork is charged with two counts of possessing MDMA and PMMA at Roman Street on September 8th and September 9th 2012.

And David McGrath (25) of Roman Street, Cork is charged with one count of possessing MDMA and PMMA for sale or supply at Tesco Shopping Centre in Wilton on September 8th.

Mr McGrath is also charged with a separate offence of possessing cannabis resin for sale or supply at the same location in Wilton on the same date.

The court heard that all four made no reply to any of the charges when they were put to them after caution following their arrest this morning at Anglesea Street in Cork.

Insp John Deasy said that the DPP had directed all four be tried on indictment before a judge and jury at circuit court level and said that gardaí had no objection to bail for all four.

Judge Leo Malone granted the application and remanded all four accused on their own bonds of € 500 each to appear again at Cork District Court on December 4th.
