Firefighters from Swords, Skerries and Balbriggan have brought a fire at a warehouse under control in Rush, Co Dublin tonight.

A Dublin Fire Brigade spokesman said there were gas cylinders at the site of the warehouse in Farran's Lane and heavy smoke was visible in the area. Fifteen firefighters were at the scene and the fire brigade had also asked Fingal County Council to attend the scene because of concerns about a dangerous building.

Assistance had also been sought from An Garda Síochána and the ESB. The spokesman said the fire had been brought under control shortly after 11pm, about two hours after the alarm was raised.
