A Cork wedding boutique and apartments above it were evacuated this morning after a fire broke out at the premises.
Five units of Cork Fire Brigade attended the scene of the fire on MacCurtain Street in the city at 9.30am today.
Members of the fire brigade checked the apartments over the boutique and evacuated the premises for safety reasons.
The fire was brought under control within minutes. No injuries were reported and a Garda investigation is under way.

The cause of the fire is unknown. It is understood the boutique sustained smoke damage.

Street was closed to facilitate the fire brigade as they outed the blaze.
