The search has resumed for Breda Delaney who has been missing from her home in Blackrock, Co Dublin since Saturday.

The search will focus on the south Dublin coastline and it is understood that it will be carried out by the Coast Guard as well as gardaí.

Ms Delaney (72) was last seen at her home in at around 3.30am on Saturday.

The mother of one is described as being 162cm (5ft, 4 in), of slight build with blonde/grey hair and blue eyes. When last seen, she was wearing a white cardigan, a grey calf-length skirt and black shoes.

Gardaí have asked anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact Blackrock Garda station on (01) 666 5200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any Garda station.

Separately, a boy (12) who has been missing for a number of days has been found.

Thomas Delaney, originally from Limerick, went missing last week from Glenmore, Co Kilkenny. He was first reported missing around midday on Wednesday afternoon.

He was last seen in the Johnsgate Village part of Limerick on Thursday afternoon.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed that the boy had been located safe in Limerick on Friday evening.

They said no further action in the case was required and thanked the public for their help.
