Death takes place of ‘Riordans’ actor Ann Rowan

Actor The Riordans, which was one of the most popular television programmes to appear on RTÉ, ran from 1964 until 1979.

Rowan also appeared in Fair City, Father Ted, Ulysses, Christmas at Castle Backtax, The Wild Duck, Last House and The Lilac Bus.

She is survived by her two sisters and nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass will take place tomorrow in the the Church of the Sacred Heart, Laytown, Co Meath, at 11am.
