A cyclist in his 40s was killed on Saturday morning after he collided with a van on the Redcastle to Gleneely road in Co Donegal.

The incident happened at about 9.15am at Moneydarragh.

A second cyclist was injured in the incident and was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The driver of the van was not injured but was treated for shock.

It is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day.
