A public appeal has been issued for a 44-year-old woman who went missing from her home near Omagh, Co Tyrone, more than a week ago.

Lisa McGowan was last seen at her home in Drumquin on July 8th last at about 10.30pm.

Her husband Paddy McGowan last had contact with her shortly before he returned to Dublin where he works as a lecturer at Dublin City University. Police believe she went missing from her home after 1.30pm the following day on July 9th.

Ms McGowan is described as 1.83cm (6’), of slim to medium build, with short, auburn-coloured hair. She wears red and silver-coloured spectacles.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has asked the local community to assist with the search. Anyone with any information has been asked to contact the PSNI on 0044 845 600 8000.
