* Donors:
The ins and outs of organ donation will be discussed at a public forum at Westside Library, Galway, from 6-7.30pm tomorrow. Speakers include the national kidney transplant co-ordinator at Beaumont Hospital, Phyllis Cunningham; NUI Galway's Prof of Transplant Biology, Matthew Griffin; and Martina Goggin, the mother of an organ donor and co-founder of the Strange Boat Donor Foundation. * Meditation:Reiki teacher Patricia Sheenan will give a talk on meditation tomorrow at 8.15pm at the Seraph Centre, 15 Heytesbury Street, Dublin 8 (admission €15). * Exercise:The benefits of exercise is the topic of this month's MiniMed public lecture on January 30th, from 7-9pm at the Royal College of Surgeons, 123 St Stephen's Green, Dublin. * Body image:Mirror, Mirror – Beauty Perception, an art exhibition examining our perceptions of body image and beauty will run at the Twenty Twenty art gallery, North Mall, Cork, in association with the Bon Secours Hospital, from January 29th to February 28th. * IBS talk:An open day for people with irritable bowel syndrome, family members and friends will be held in the Main Lecture Theatre of Cork University Hospital, Cork City on Saturday from 2pm-4pm. Chaired by Prof Fergus Shanahan, consultant gastroenterologist at Cork University Hospital and director of the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre, the event will look at medication, surgery and research developments.
