The DyspraxiaAssociation of Ireland and Fettercairn Youth Horse Project are joining forces for a study into dyspraxia equine therapy for seven to 14 year olds, beginning on Thursday, January 26th, for eight weeks.

The study aims to test the effects of the physical motion of a horse on a group of children with dyspraxia and to determine whether any effects can be stimulated or restimulated by auditory and visual perception of that motion.

Heart diseaseand stroke prevention are the topics of the next public lecture in the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (RCSI) Mini-Med free series on Wednesday at 7pm. The speakers are Prof Alice Stanton, Department of Molecular and Cellular Therapeutics, and Dr Frances Horgan, senior lecturer, School of Physiotherapy and chairwoman of the Irish Heart Foundation's Council on Stroke.
