Gardai continued their search yesterday for a Waterford man who has been missing for more than two weeks and, it is feared, may have been murdered.

DNA tests confirmed last week that blood found in a wood near Waterford Regional Airport was that of Mr Martin Nolan (34), from Tramore, who was last seen on Wednesday, November 10th.

Garda sub-aqua divers are continuing to search lakes and waterways in the area but so far no trace of the missing man has been found.

Mr Nolan had been due to appear before Waterford Circuit Court on Tuesday of last week on charges of possessing several thousand pounds worth of cannabis and ecstasy for sale. He had been reported missing the previous Friday by his father, with whom he worked in a Waterford city garage.

Supt Michael McGarry said yesterday the case was officially a missing person one, "but we are extremely concerned about his whereabouts".

Mr Nolan was last seen at St Herblain Park in Waterford city at 6.30 p.m. on November 10th.

Supt McGarry appealed for anyone who used the road from Waterford city to the regional airport between November 10th and 12th to contact Waterford Garda station at 051-874888, regardless of whether they saw anything suspicious.
