Garda preparing file on Dublin murder

Gardai are preparing a file on the murder of a Dublin man on Tuesday night

Gardai are preparing a file on the murder of a Dublin man on Tuesday night. Mr Liam Nolan (53) was found with serious head injuries in the back yard of his house at Oriel Street Lower, off Sheriff Street, shortly after 10 p.m.

A male caller alerted an ambulance, a doctor and gardai after what is believed to have been a domestic dispute. A baseball bat and a garden rake were removed from the scene.

It is believed that a man in his 20s who lived in the house was interviewed about the death, and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Mr Nolan was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was removed to the city morgue for examination by the State Pathologist, Dr John Harbison.
