Four men appeared in Dublin District Court today charged in connection with two robberies carried out in west Dublin on Friday night.

The four men, aged between 30 and 33 and from Clondalkin, appeared before Judge Patrick McMahon all charged under Section 14 of the Criminal Justice Act (Theft and Fraud offences) 2001 following the raids on a supermarket and an off licence.

Judge McMahon remanded Paul Walsh (32), of Neilstown Drive, Clondalkin; Ricky Walsh (30), of St Ronans Green in Clondalkin; and Karl Mullen (30), of Rowlagh Crescent, Clondalkin, to Cloverhill Prison to appear before Cloverhill District Court on February 16th.

He remanded Stephen Walsh (33), of Neilstown Drive in Clondalkin, on continuing bail to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on March 29th.

The men were arrested on at Collintown Park in Clondalkin on Friday night following raids at Lidl supermarket in the Fonthill Retail Park in Clondalkin and Cheers off-licence in Liffey Valley.

A sum of €719 was taken from the supermarket and a further €1,196 was taken from the off-licence.
