A man and a woman who were seeking to sell their car had their BMW rammed as they tried to leave a car park after meeting a prospective buyer.
The incident happened on the Naas Road shortly after 8pm last night.
A 40-year-old man accompanied by a 44-year-old woman had driven to a
car park on the Naas Road in a silver BMW which they were planning to sell.
When they attempted to drive out of the car park two vehicles, a car and an SUV, blocked their exit.
The car rammed the BMW. The BMW driver managed to drive out of the car park and on to the M50.
He was pursued by both vehicles which made repeated attempts to ram the BMW on the motorway.
One of the vehicles eventually collided with the BMW on the Neilstown Road. As the cars came to a halt, the man and woman fled the BMW on foot and alerted gardaí.
Gardaí later arrested two men, a 21-year-old and a 30-year-old, who are being held under the provisions of Section 4 of the 1984 Criminal Justice Act.
Both men are expected to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
